the purpose of the Trustees?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Own and safely operate and maintain the dam structure, land and adjacent facilities<\/p>\n<p>Set policy and organize maintenance for the entire lake area<\/p>\n<p>Set policy for water quality and recreation<\/p>\n<p>Collect and responsibly allocate tax dollar<\/p>\n<p>Represent the interests of lake residents<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Priorities for the next 1-3 years<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Water quality management<\/strong> (led by Doug with help from Bill) (6 monitoring is the responsibility of others (DNR)<\/li>\n<li>Monitor runoff levels<\/li>\n<li>Participate in Water Management Authority<\/li>\n<li>Septic systems \u2013 support the County Health Dept with communications to lake residents<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sediment Control<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Address prevention \u2013 outline the major runoff problem areas in Laurie) (3 votes)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li>Approve a policy to create and maintain a cash reserve of 20%-25% of the annual budget with unobligated funds<\/li>\n<li>Consider reducing the spending limit that does not require Trustee approval \u2013 currently $5,000<\/li>\n<li>Conduct a risk assessment session.
