TRUSTEE ELECTION TO BE HELD ON<\/strong><\/p>\n

JULY 17, 2012<\/strong><\/p>\n

PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN <\/strong>that the Trustee Election for the Lake Delhi Combined Recreational Facility and Water Quality District<\/strong> in Delaware County, Iowa will be held on Tuesday, July 17, 2012<\/strong>.\u00a0 Polls will be open from 12:00 PM (noon) until 8:00 PM.\u00a0 The polling location will be as follows:<\/p>\n

For the Lake District \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Delhi Community Center<\/strong><\/p>\n

The polling place designated for use in this election is accessible to persons with disabilities.\u00a0 Any voter who is physically unable to enter a polling place has the right to vote in the voter\u2019s vehicle.\u00a0 For further information, please contact the Delaware County Auditor\u2019s Office by phone at (563) 927-4701 or by e-mail at cbecker@co.delaware.ia.us<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Pre-Election Day voter registration, for this election, will close Friday, July 6, 2012 at 5:00 PM.\u00a0 However, in January 2008, Iowa law was adopted to allow eligible persons the right to register to vote and cast a ballot on Election Day if they are able to provide proof of both their identity and residency at the polls.\u00a0 Please bring a valid and current photo ID which has an expiration date.\u00a0 If the address on your ID is not current, you will need to prove residency.\u00a0 The following documents can be used as proof of residency if they contain your name and current address:\u00a0 residential lease, property tax statement, utility bill, bank statement, paycheck, government check or other government document.\u00a0 If you do not have proof of residency and identity, a registered voter in your precinct may attest for you.\u00a0 You will both be required to sign an oath.\u00a0 Any questions regarding this matter should be directed to the Delaware County Auditor\u2019s Office at (563) 927-4701.<\/p>\n

To request an absentee ballot, use the official form available at the Delaware County Auditor\u2019s Office or at www.co.delaware.ia.us<\/a> and mail it to the Delaware County Commissioner of Elections, 301 E. Main St., Room 210, Manchester, Iowa 52057.\u00a0 The last day to request an absentee ballot by mail is Friday, July 13, 2012 at 5:00 PM.\u00a0 In person absentee voting is available at the Delaware County Auditor\u2019s Office during normal courthouse hours Monday thru Friday thru 11:00 AM. on Tuesday, July 17, 2012 (Election Day).\u00a0 The Auditor\u2019s Office will also be open from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM on Saturday, June 30, 2012 for voter registration and absentee balloting.<\/p>\n
